Robert William "Pete" Clinkscales

Robert William “Pete” Clinkscales, age 77, died February 13, 2022 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence following a short illness.

He was born March 11, 1944 in Anderson, SC and had lived in this area most of his life.  Pete had served in the Army Reserves and had worked as a cook for over 35 years at the Monroe Community Hospital.  He had a great sense of humor, was an avid golfer, loved his cats, had many friends and is finally enjoying finishing out the ultimate 19th hole.  Mr. Clinkscales was predeceased by his parents, his step-father, his loving in-laws and 6 siblings.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years Marwayne, his son: Jeffrey Clinkscales of Rochester, his brother Roy (Joanne) Clinkscales of Rochester, his sisters: Sarah “Pat” Clinkscales of SC, Marilyn Powell of SC, Brenda Newby of SC, Kim Newby of SC as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no calling hours and private services and interment in Lynhaven Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

Pete’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.
