Obituary of Robert Heath Mr. Heath's lifetime passion was the practice of law where he joined his grandfather Edward and father Mark at the practice of Heath and Heath in 1951. He continued the practice with his son, Douglas M. Heath and in partnership with Jeffrey Martin, as the firm became known as Heath and Martin of Holley, N.Y. He was assisted in his law practice for fifty years by Beverly Lane Brennan. He served as County, School and Town attorney. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, House of Delegates, Trust and Estate Division, and Orleans County Bar Association as past president. Mr. Heath was a lifetime member of the Holley Fire Department, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a 57-year member of the American Legion Jewell Buckman Post 529. Mr. Heath was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Holley since 1944, a member of Rotary International, The Lakeside Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, SUNY Brockport College Council, Orleans County Republican Committee, American Red Cross Board of Directors and Past Master of Murray Lodge 380 F& AM. Graduating from Holley High School as Valedictorian in 1944, Mr. Heath was Senior Class President. He attended the University of Rochester and Albany Law School where he received his law degree in 1951.
