Robert Andrew LaShier passed away quietly on March 6, 2025 in the presence of family and friends after a long battle.

Bob came into this world on June 20, 1961 with his twin brother James in tow in Medina, NY. Bob graduated from Perry Central High School in 1979, enjoyed playing hockey on the local ponds, and attended LaGrange Baptist Church, in Pavilion, NY during his high school years.

Immediately after school he joined the Army and served for 10 years, much of which was in Germany and Afghanistan. He decided to reenlist and joined the Navy serving another 19 years, culminating in the role of Chief Petty Officer marshalling aircraft on Carriers traveling around the world. After 29 years of service, Bob followed his passion for airplanes and got a job working for L3-logistics. While there, he took courses from Strayer University and earned Associate and Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Bob applied his schooling in a series of jobs in public safety.

Bob had a strong will, passions for aviation and music, and was always looking for a laugh. His perseverance in faith is an inspiration to everyone he encountered on his journey.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Allen & Rachel (Martin) LaShier. He is survived by his wife Bolivia (nee: Antonia), his sisters: Michelle (David) Grefrath, and Renée (David) Gandee, his brothers: James (Raquel) LaShier, Pierre LaShier, and Allen (Sheryl) LaShier; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the LaGrange Baptist Church, 7092 LaGrange Rd. Pavillion NY 14525 Friday March 14th from 10:00am-11:00am where his Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be at the WNY National Cemetery in Corfu at 1:00pm. lieu of flowers consider a donation to Advent Health Foundation, Orlando FL, Deltona Alliance Church at www.Bragonjesus.org,or the LaGrange Baptist Church, Pavilion NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, Middleport NY.
