Robert "Bobby" LaVerne Lawrence went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 4 2023 at the age of 59. He was born May 31, 1963 to the late LaVerne and Mary (Edwards) Lawrence in Albion, NY and lived in the area most of his life.
Bobby had a lifelong appreciation for cars, working as a detailer and running a shop with his brother David for a time. He loved NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Jr, and went to the races with his brothers in North Carolina as often as he could. Bobby loved his family and spent many of his days with "the brothers", playing euchre, listening to rock n' roll and drinking Labatt Blue. He was a true Western NYer who billieved in the Buffalo Bills and hated Tom Brady.
Bobby was the last one up at every bonfire, blasting music from his truck and keeping the party going. You'd wake up in the morning and he'd greet you with a "hey man", still sitting by the fire with his music playing. He had the best sound system and wasn't afraid to let everyone hear it. If he wasn't playing music for you, he was making you laugh. Bobby brought the jokes and even when they weren't funny, his laugh was so infectious you were laughing anyway. No get together was complete without Bobby present.
He will be sadly missed and always hold a place in our hearts. Left to cherish his memory are "the brothers" Michael Lawrence, Paul (Cindy) Lawrence, David (Denise) Lawrence, and Joseph (Jackie) Lawrence, his sisters, Ann (Steven) Chew, Judy Edwards, and Mary (Scott) Patten, his daughters, grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service, but if you were lucky enough to know Bobby, drink a Labatt Blue in his honor during the Buffalo Bills game. That would surely make him smile down at you.
Bobby's arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion, NY
