Obituary of Robert F. Ostrom Robert F. Ostrom of Gasport passed away January 11, 2014. Robert was a loving father and faithful friend. He loved life and lived it "his way". He served in the New York Army National Guard from 1959 to l963. He was previously employed at Simonds Saw & Steel in Lockport, NY and retired from Harrison Radiator Div., GMC., Lockport. His passions during his retirement years included motorcycling throughout the country and gardening. He is survived by one son Derek (Janette) Ostrom of Grand Island, NY., one daughter Tammy Lewis of Spotsylvania, Virginia, three grandchildren Jarek Ostrom of Grand Island, Samantha (Blake) Thilkey of Lynden, Washington, and Ashley (Josh) Fink of Beaver Dam, Virginia; three great grandchildren Annabelle Thilkey, Charlotte Thilkey and Carson Fink. Brother of the late Herbert Ostrom, Mary Ostrom and Linda Beyer. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life to be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 12:00 Noon -the first day of summer- at the Royalton Ravine, Gasport Road, Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 would be appreciated by the family.
