Obituary of Robert M. Shipman (ALBION)
Robert M. Shipman, age 92 formerly of Oak Orchard Road, died 2/2/2010 in the New York State Veteran Home in Batavia. Mr. Shipman was born May 30, 1917 in Albion to Hume and Faith(Miller)Shipman and was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a United States Navy veteran of WWII having served in the South Pacific Theater of Operations. Bob was a former employee of General Railway Signal Co. in Rochester retiring in 1981, a member of the Barre Center Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and participated in the Men's Club, and he was a member of the Rochester Oratorio Society. Mr. Shipman was also a descendent from the Mayflower.
