Obituary of Robert H. Smith Robert H. Smith, age 71, of Wilson, entered into rest on Monday, March 5, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 14, 1940 in Wilson, he was the son of the late Harold and Bernice (Bartel) Smith. Robert married Shirley Briggs July 20, 1963 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Newfane. Robert was a self employed farmer working on his farm in Wilson. He was a family man and loved to spend time with his granddaughter, Allison. He also enjoyed his cows, gardens and tractors. Robert had lived in Wilson his entire life. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. Smith. Dear father of Roger H. (Cyndi) Smith of Ransomville, NY and his dear granddaughter, Allison Grace Smith of Ransomville. Brother of: Deloris (Bill) Briggs of Wilson, NY and the late Joan Pearce. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Friday, March 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am with interment at North Ridge Cemetery in Cambria following the service.
