Obituary of Rodney R. Woodroe (MEDINA)
Rodney R. “Skip” Woodroe, age 66, died May 21, 2020 in Orchard Rehab and Nursing Center following a long illness. He was born June 26, 1953 in Lockport to Ross and Suzann (Bigelow) Woodroe and had been a lifetime resident of this area. Skip worked for Fisher Price for over 25 years and was a very social person who enjoyed telling a good story. He was a member of the Jr. Wilson Sportsman Club, the Medina Veterans Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Skip also enjoyed watching episodes of The Golden Girls and Scooby-Doo. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Cora, his son: Joel Woodroe of Medina, his brother: Jimmy Joe (Terry Lynn) Woodroe of Medina, sister: Cherri (Dana) Sharping of Medina, 2 grandchildren: Ashley and Hayden as well as several nieces and nephews. There will no calling hours. Private services and interment in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family and a celebration of Skip’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mercy Flight of WNY, 100 Amherst Villa Rd., Buffalo, NY, 14225.
