Roger W. Novak Sr.

Obituary of Roger W. Novak, Sr. Clarendon: Roger W. Novak, Sr. age 74, passed away suddenly on November 18, 2018. He was born November 21, 1943 in West Frankfort, IL to the late George E. and Alberta J. (Roberts) Novak. Roger spent over 50 years volunteering for the Clarendon Fire Co. and was a Life Member. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and the New York Yankees. He retired from GM in 2003 where he worked for more than 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, George, niece, Brenda McMillan, and brother-in-law, Cecil Moore. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Silva, children, Roger (Kristine) Novak, Jr., Debbie (Chris) Fiorito, Dale (Tabbetha) Novak, grandchildren, Richard Fiorito, Devan (Elizabeth Aldaco) Novak, great-grandchildren, Jared Bowen, Mackenzie and Brody Fiorito, sister, Mary Lou Moore as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, NY 14470 on Monday, November 26th from 3:00-6:00pm where his service will be held immediately following at 6:00pm. A gathering will be held after Roger’s service at the Clarendon Rec Hall 16169 E. Lee Road, Clarendon, NY 14429. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roger’s name may be made to the Clarendon Fire Co. P.O. Box 136 Clarendon, NY 14429.
