Obituary of Roger George Steimer Roger George Steimer, age 71, of Gasport, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Buffalo VA Hospital. Born March 1, 1947 in Lockport, Roger is the son of the late: George E. and R. Lorraine (Nankey) Steimer. Roger worked at IQ Modular Homes in Depew as a skilled carpenter. He was an exempt member of the Gasport Chemical Hose Fire Company joining in 1973. Roger loved gardening, watching the Atlanta Braves, fishing with family in the Thousand Islands, watching the Buffalo Bills with his friends at the fire hall and listening to country music "Willy's Roadhouse". Surviving Roger are his children: Jennifer Steimer and George (Stephanie) Steimer; grandchildren: Emma and Josh; sister: Sandy (Michael) Watier; significant other: Wende Amacher along with her children and grandchildren; dear cousin and friend of: Brian Nankey along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:oo am. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to: Gasport Chemical Hose Fire Company or the Buffalo A Hospital.
