Obituary of Roland Mowers (Kendall) Roland (Sonny, Bud, Uncle Si) Mowers passed away on February 6, 2015. He was born January 24, 1930 in Morton, NY, and was the only son of the late George and Mina (LaBarr) Mowers and was a lifetime resident of Kendall. He was living with Alzheimer's since 2006 and was a resident of the Villages of Orleans since 2011. Sonny/Bud was a member of the Kendall Fire Department where he served as Past Chief for many years. He was also a member and past President of the Kendall's Lions Club. In 1985 Sonny/Bud retired from Eastman Kodak after working there for over 30 years and then worked as a Realtor for Westridge Reality as well as the Building Inspector for the Town of Kendall. He loved to travel, spend time with family and friends and take care of his home and land. He volunteered his time to many causes throughout his life and was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his older sisters Dorothy Rabjohn, Virginia Whitmore, June Smith, Thelma Cohoon, Margy Nettnin. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janet (Patrie) Mowers; daughters Patricia (Bruce) Levandowski of Kent, Jacki (Steve) Sciarabba of Albion; son Todd Mowers of Rochester; 3 grandchildren Michael Levandowski, Paige Levandowski, Shane Mowers; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends. There are no prior calling. His Memorial Service will be held at the Gaines Carlton Community Church at a date to be announced. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation
