Roland H. Rogers, age 79 of Albion-Eagle Harbor Road, died 12/2/2014 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence. He was born 6/7/1935 in Corning to John and Beulah Rogers and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Rogers was a member and Trustee of the Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church, a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #1006 in Albion, was an avid bird-watcher, Dallas Cowboys fan and in past years enjoyed hunting. At age 77, Roland obtained his motorcycle license and bought himself a brand new Harley Davidson which he truly enjoyed riding. Mr. Rogers was predeceased by his wife Geraldine; 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Morris Rogers, Augustas Rogers, Twila Ross, Nina Sinatra, and Doris Fitzgerald. He is survived by his son: Scott(Anne)Rogers of MI, his daughter: Pauline(Randall)Jurs of Albion, brothers: Jack Rogers of TX, Gordon Rogers of TN, his grandchildren: Justin, Ashley, Hallie, Lindsie, 1 great granddaughter: Ava as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY 4-7 p.m. where his Funeral Service will be held SATURDAY at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mount Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, 14080 Route 31 West, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411-0489. Visitation
