Ronald B. Kennedy

Obituary of Ronald B. Kennedy (Hamlin) Ronald B. Kennedy, age 78, died July 18, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1940 in Governeur, NY to Michael and Dorothy Kennedy and had lived in this area over 50 years. Ron was a United States Airforce Veteran and a member of the Fancher, Hulberton and Murray Fire Department. He was also a member of the Orleans County Boots and Saddle Club, enjoyed fishing, Western Movies, horses and NASCAR. Ron had previously raised Siberian Husky Dogs but his true love was being an over-the-road trucker. Mr. Kennedy was predeceased by a son: Bradley Dean Kennedy. He is survived by his children: Ed (Lisa) Kennedy of Kent, Colleen Davidson of Hamlin, Ron (Alyssa) Kennedy of Holley, Jerry (Missy) Kennedy of Kent, brothers: Jon (Sue) Kennedy and Jerry Histman both of Governeur, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and the mother of his children: Bonnie Gekoski of Kendall. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rt. #31-Holley, THURSDAY July 25th from 4-7 p.m. where his Funeral Service will be held FRIDAY July 26th at 11 a.m. Private interment will held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
