Obituary of Ronald L. Miesner (ALBION)
Ronald L. Miesner, age 67 of West Street, died 10/12/10 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born 9/8/43 in Portland, OR to Fred and Goldie(Campbell)Miesner and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Miesner was an US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Holy Family Parish, and member of the Hart Hose Company of the Albion Fire Department. Ron was a long-time member of the Albion Fire Department having served as Secretary and Treasurer. He also was a member of the Albion Emergency Squad having held every Administrative Office and Line Officer post including Chief. In addition, Mr. Miesner was a member, former Assistant Secretary, and current Trustee of the Western New York Volunteer Fireman's Association. Ron also was a member of the Fireman's Association of the State of New York, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus-3rd Degree. Further, Ron was a founding member of COVA, a member of the American Legion, a former coach of T-Ball and Little League, and enjoyed collecting toy fire trucks. However, Mr. Miesner's greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
