Obituary of Rose Rice (ALBION)
Rose E. (Wroblewski) Rice, age 94 formerly of Northwood Drive, died 5/31/2013 in The Village of Orleans. She was born 4/14/1919 in Buffalo to Stanley and Balbina(Paradowski)Wroblewski and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Oratory and a former member of the St. Mary's Rosary Society. Rose was a former employee of T.J. Lipton and a member of the Lipton Ladies. Rose enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Mrs. Rice was predeceased by her husband John in 1976, daughter Carol Ann Woods in 2000 and her sister Antoinette Wyles. She is survived by her son: Robert(Marie)Rice of Albion, 4 grandchildren: Robert(Kimberly)Rice of Clarence, Timothy(Jennifer)Rice of Lockport, Amy(Scott)Morton of CA, Lindsey Mena of San Francisco, 6 great grandchildren: Brett, Haley, Jonathon, Brandon, Trevor, Abbey, 2 brothers: Daniel(Mildred)Wroblewski of Cheektowaga, Stanley(Ethel)Bird of Orchard Park as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, MONDAY 3-7 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet TUESDAY 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church for Rose's Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery on Brown Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Help Save Our Nursing Home, c/o: Concerned Citizens of Orleans County, P.O.
