Obituary of Rosemary C. Yocum (Kent) Rosemary C. (Purdy) Yocum age 65 of Sawyer Rd. passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2012 at her home with family and under the care of Hospice of Orleans. She was born May 26, 1947 in Huntingdon PA, the daughter of the late Ollie (Tina) and Kenneth Brown. "Rosie," as she was fondly known to her friends, was a 1965 graduate of Huntingdon area High School. She resided in Huntingdon PA with her two daughters Lisa (Roger) Mullins and Kimberly Kauffman until 1978 when she relocated to Albion NY to reside with her husband Dale Yocum and his three children Kati, Bernie and Sandra. Rosie worked for Dr. Heuer, Saint Gobain and ended up as a greeter at the Albion Walmart. She loved gardening, baking and spoiling her grandchildren. Rosie is survived by her 3 daughters Lisa, Kati and Sandra; her grandchildren Amber and Justin Mullins, Amanda Yocum, Tanner Kauffman and Hannah Yocum. She was predeceased by her husband Dale in 2011; son Bernie in 2008 and her daughter Kimberly Kauffman in 2005. Visitation

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday June 30th at 1:00pm at the family home, 2268 Sawyer Rd., Kent NY 14477. Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate and share stories of a great and beautiful lady.
