Obituary of Roy E. Williams Roy “Ole Roy” Williams age 82 died January 17, 2019 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 17, 1936 in Carlton, NY, a son of the late Roy E. and Evelyn J. (Walter) Williams and had lived in this area all of his life. He served in the US Army during Korea. Roy was a member of the Free Methodist Church, the Albion Fire Department and he also was the Chaplin for the Orleans County Jail and the Orleans County Nursing Home for over 30 years. He owned and operated Thompson’s Home Furnishings in Albion for over 29 years. Roy was a very giving and loving man who thought of others before himself and always put God first. He was predeceased by his first wife Carol; his granddaughter Melissa; his brothers Don, Harold, Dave, Kenneth; sisters Florence and Marilyn. Roy is survived by his wife Sylvia; his son Phil (Karen) Williams of OH; daughter Nancy (David) Lowery of Albion; grandchildren Emily, Andrea Chad, Seth, Matthew; great-grandchildren Eden, Jacob, Ailey and Cole; Sylvia’s son David (Tammy) Seitzer of Lockport and their son Andrew; his brother Richard Williams of Nyack, NY; sister Sharon Bacon of Medina. The family will receive friends at the Albion Free Methodist Church, 25 S. Platt St. Albion NY 14411 on Tuesday January 22nd 2-4 & 7-9 where his Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am. Burial and Full Military Honors will be held in the spring time. Memorials may be made to the Albion Free Methodist Church or to County Line United Methodist Church, 1385 County Line Rd., Lyndonville NY 14098.
