Obituary of Ruby S Mitchell Albion- Ruby Mitchell, 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. She was born in Clay County, West Virginia, the daughter of Renzie Truman and Bessie Taylor and has lived in Orleans County for the last 50 years. She was a Homemaker who enjoyed gardening, fishing, Bingo and spending time with her Grandchildren. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling. She was predeceased by her husband John Mitchell in 2001, a son Darrel "Joe" Gray, 8 Brothers and Sisters and Grandson Herbert Calkins Jr.. She is survived by her children; Russell (Maryanne) Gray of Florida, Berma Ernst of Fishers, NY, Billy Gray of Clarendon, Karen Sue (Michael) Conlon of Barre and Sharon Faye (fiancee Tim) Calkins of Albion; Stepson, James (Pat) Mitchell of Albion; 21 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great, Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and Friends may call on Saturday, September 17, 20ll from 12-1pm at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll Street Albion, NY, where services will be immediately following with the Reverend Erik Olsen officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Orleans.
