Ruth K. Tiberio

Obituary of Ruth K. Tiberio Albion: Ruth Kendrick Tiberio, 71, entered into rest, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 28, 2014. Born on May 1, 1943, in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Antoinette Kendrick. Ruth and her family moved to the Albion area where she, in 1961, graduated from Albion High School. Ruth married Robert Tiberio on October 23, 1971. They soon began their family and Ruth remained a stay- at- home mom until the mid-1970's when she became the head secretary at Community Action in Albion, NY. In 1981 Ruth entered the NYS Corrections Academy and gave the next 23 years of dedicated service to law enforcement by protecting and serving the public and her fellow officers. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, reading and most of all, spending quality time with her children. Ruth is survived by her sister: Carol Lose-Porter; husband: Robert C. Tiberio; four children: Tammy L. (Joel) Jones, Lori A. (Michael) Pierce, Elisabeth A. Tiberio and Robert E. (Jacquelyn) Tiberio; seven grandchildren: Corey, Jestin, Amir, Cody, Zackery, Hayden and Mia; nieces: Annette (Bob) Lozo, Linda (Kim) Lose-Lawson; nephew: John (Lisa) Lose and several great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service is being held at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 State Rt. 31, HOLLEY (please note location) Friday, October 3, 2014 at 5pm. A celebration of Ruth's life will immediately follow at the Holley American Legion. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Wilmont Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
