Sandra Maurine Caldwell

(Albion)  Sandra M. Capelli Caldwell age 87 passed away December 16, 2021 at the Martin Linsin Residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 10, 1934 in Medina, a daughter of the late Lewis and Bernice (Gray) Capelli and had lived in this area all of her life.

Sandra graduated from Medina High School where she sang in the Acapella Choir.  Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  One of her biggest accomplishments was being on the Albion School Board from 1977-1986.  She loved running her children back and forth to Miss Joy’s Dance Studio and being part of the studio family.  In her later years, Sandy was always helping and supervising at Gotta Dance Studio because she loved being around all her dance family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband Ronald Grant Baker; her sister Cheryl Capelli Owens Grimble; aunt and uncle Helen and Wesley Heitz.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 55 years, Waldo “Ace” Caldwell; her children Wendy Baker Pettit, Lori Baker Sheffer, Ronald Grant Baker, Jr., Amy (David) Caldwell Sidari; grandchildren Sonya (Kyle) Gaines, Evan Sheffer, Ronald Grant (Theresa) Baker III, Kurtis (Shena) Baker, Emily Baker, Maxwell Baker, Jillian (Jeff) Cookinham, Kristin (Shane) Embrey, Keith Sidari, Kyle Sidari, Gina Sidari; great-grandchildren Shelby Baker, Bobby Baker, Jackson Gaines as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Wednesday December 29th from 1-3pm & 6-8pm where her Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00am.  Burial will be in Transit Road Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans, P.O.
