Obituary of Sandra L. Richardson Sandra L. “Sandy” Richardson age 71 died at her home following a long illness on June 15, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born March 2, 1947 in Albion, a daughter of the late James and Emma (Spinney)Ashbery and had lived in this area all of her life. She enjoyed flowers, knitting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Sandy was predeceased by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Richardson, Sr. in 2017; her sister Candace Ashbery; her brother James Ashbery III and her grandson Joseph Allen. She is survived by her children Judith (CarmelaAllen) Richardson of Albion, Lura (Timothy) Kenward of Albion, Lawrence (Amy) Richardson, Jr. of Albion, Ronald (Priscilla) Richardson, Shaun (Alisha) Richardson of Medina; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her brothers David (Gayle) Ashbery and Jimmy Ashbery; sisters-in-law Helen Dennis, Arlene Williamson; brother-in-law Jim (Alice) Richardson as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Wednesday June 20th 3:00pm-7:00pm where her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Clarendon. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, PO Box 489, Albion NY 14411 or to the family.
