Obituary of Santa M. Calles Santa (Sidari) Calles, 92, of East State Street, Albion, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 23, 2019. She was born on August 23, 1926 in Albion, NY to the late Fortunato and Gladys (Spada) Sidari. Santa was a life-long resident of Albion and member of Holy Family Parish – St Joseph’s Church. Santa attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Albion. She married Henry Calles (New Bedford, MA) on February 23, 1952, and they raised 3 daughters. Santa was a dedicated housewife and mother. She was known and loved for her sewing, which she provided continuously for family and friends. Santa was predeceased by her husband Henry; daughter Nadean; brothers Rocco, Frank, Leonard Sidari and her sisters Jane Ciccoline, Eleanor Irwin and Louise Felso. She is survived by her daughters Joette (Jerry) Dapore and Michele (Rich) Garrett, grandchildren Ashley Dapore and Matthew Dapore; Sister-in-law Jane Sidari, Brother-in-law Alex Felso, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue, Albion, Friday, March 1, 4:00-7:00pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Albion on Saturday, March 2, at 10:00am. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
