Obituary of Sarah Marie Taber (ALBION)
Sarah Marie Taber, age 19 of East Academy Street, died 4/21/2012 in Lakeside Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born 2/23/1993 to Martin and Faye(McDonald)Taber and had lived in this area all of her life. Sarah was a member of Holy Family Parish and attended the NYS School for the Blind in Batavia. She had many things which gave her joy such as her toys, animals, the company of her family and nurses as well as Polka Music. Sarah was born with Trisomy 18, and at her birth her parents were told that she would be fortunate to live one (1) month. Sarah had other ideas, however. Being the toughest little girl on earth, she made it through 19 challenging years, thanks in no small part to the efforts of the many people who helped along the way. During her lifetime she could not walk or talk, but today Sarah is dancing and singing as she watches those left behind.
