Obituary of Scott E. Edwards Scott E. Edwards (54) of Albion, NY passed away on Sunday, August 23 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Scott is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 8 years, Christine Edwards and his beloved children, Ian Edwards (10), Emilie Edwards (28), and Erika (Chris) Reed (25). He is also survived by his mother, Chelcie Edwards, father-in-law, Ted Streets (Clayton, NY), brothers, Mickey (Melinda) Edwards, Randy Edwards, Mark (Rhonda) Crissman, and Randy (Karen) Crissman and sisters, Cindy (Donny) Grabowski and Susan (Harvey) Campbell, many nieces and nephews that he cared very deeply about, and a lot of close friends. He was predeceased by his father, Beverly Edwards, and his brother, JT Edwards. Scott’s children were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy of a kind spirit, passion for sports (especially the Buffalo Bills), love of the great outdoors, and zest for life will live on through them. He was extremely proud of his children and all of their accomplishments. He was liked by everyone who knew him and was known as the “cool Dad” by his kids. He was a fun-loving guy, and the “life of the party”; especially on a hot summer day with country music playing (loudly) and his favorite drink in his hand. He was an excellent mentor and life-coach and was often asked for his advice, which he gave freely to friends and co-workers. His other passions included: camping, golf and karaoke (he was actually a very good singer). Scott graduated from Albion High School in 1984 and was a graduate of Genesee Community College. He was a great people person and could talk to anyone, which only added to his long and successful career in sales. Most recently, he was a Director of Sales & Marketing at Wendt Corporation in Buffalo, New York. The family would like to thank and acknowledge all of the support provided by all the members of the Wendt team. The family would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses that helped care for him at Roswell Cancer Institute. Your kindness, caring and compassion are appreciated. He enjoyed attending online services through Crosspoint Church of Nashville, TN. The Edwards family will receive friends and extended family for calling hours at: Red Rock Campground, 16097 Canal Road, Holley, NY on Monday, August 31 from 4-8 pm. Face masks required. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roswell Cancer Institute. Give.roswellpark.org Scott’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W.
