Sharon S. Plummer, age 79, died July 9, 2024 in Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1945 in Brockport to Charles and Jane (Lorback) Hughes and had lived in this area most of her life.
Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Albion Central School and the Strong School of Nursing. She was a member of the Clover ARP Church, and worked for several years at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital as an LPN. Sharon was full of energy and had a great enthusiasm for life. Sharon was hard working and fun-loving. She loved gardening, quilting and discovering adventures with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to bring people together and happily planned parties on “The Lane”, as well as church events and many, many family gatherings. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be remembered forever as Mom, Gramma Sharon, Gigi, Sheri and “Annie Oakley”. Mrs. Plummer was predeceased by her husband Gary.
She is survived by her son: Mark (Lisa) Stone, her daughter: Charlene (Scott) Chadwick, her stepchildren: Cindy (Randy) Hurt, Chad (Lisa) Plummer, Carrie (Mark) Standish, her grandchildren: Ryan and Logan Stone, Sydney and Peyton Chadwick, Sarah (Garret) White, Adam (Phoebe) Standish, Christopher Standish, Aaron Hurt, her great grandchildren: Rowan and Briar White, Sophia and Marshall Standish, and Kensley Standish.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY July 12, 2024 from 4-6 pm ONLY. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Bates Road Cemetery. A Memorial Service at Clover ARP Church will be announced at a later date.
