Obituary of Shelby Flint Malcomb Shelby “Jean” Malcomb (Flint), age 75, of Gasport, entered into rest on Friday, December 21, 2012 at her home. Born January 30, 1937 in Lookout, WV, she is the daughter of the late Howard and Georgia Agnes (Hicks) Flint. Jean married Charles W. Malcomb in September of 1956 in Oakland, Maryland. Mr. Malcomb died November 17, 1998. She had worked as a legal secretary for Steve Kennedy in Lockport. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jean served in many callings at her church including Sunday school teacher, the Relief Society, and working with teenagers and the women of her church. She loved people and once she met you, you were a friend for life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, reading, writing stories and poems and cooking previously being the owner of the Cook Nook Bakery. Jean is survived by her loving children: Carolyn “Sue” Malcomb of Gasport and Wayne (Carol) Malcomb of Lockport. She was predeceased by a son: Kenneth E. Malcomb. Mother-in-law of: Hope (Harry) George of Lockport. Sister of: Gladys Flint of Lockport, Franklin Flint of Barker and the late: Harold Flint, Harrison Flint, Shirley Hudson and Floyd Flint. Dearest grandmother of: Charles, Lynda, Ashley, Shannon, Trisha, Kathy, Tammy, Laurie, Kristle, Douglas and Adam. 7 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Jean. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6339 Hamm Road, Lockport, NY.
