Obituary of Shirley A. Harrison She worked for Engle-Harrison as an administrative assistant for five years and General Electric tor 20 years. She worked all the way up through the copany from administrative assistant to purchasing agent. The plant was purchased by Black and Decker who she forked for, for three years until the plant was closed. Shirley and her husband Bill then founded Waterport Lawn and Garden. They built the business from the ground up and successfully ran it for 26 years. She was a member of the Carlton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also served the Town of Carlton as the Zoning Board Chairman for many years. Shirley and her husband Bill spent many holidays in Florida due to the fact that much of their family lived there. In recent years the enjoyed wintering in Daytona Beach, FL, eventually purchasing a residence in Furitland Park FL. They also frequently traveled to Ohio to visit their son Steven and his family. They especially enjoyed staying in the Amish Country around the Berlin, Ohio area. Some of her favorite hobbies were cross-word puzzles, bing, and wine tasting. She especially enjoyed the Finger Lakes Wine Country of NY.
