Obituary of Stella Ferris Lyman Holley/Pt. Breeze: Stella Ferris Lyman, 98, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017. Stella was born in Canada December 19, 1918, a daughter of the late Augustine and Josephine (Sirianni) Tiberio, and in 1956 became a United States Citizen. You could tell her passion was flowers by the way her home was surrounded by their beauty. Stella always enjoyed visitors as it gave her a chance to show them her magic touch. She was a wonderful cook, famous for her chicken and peppers, pasta and the best meatballs. Stella was the last survivor of her siblings. She was a legend and was called the Matriarch of her family. Stella is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Ralph) Reed; daughter-in-law, Linda Olson; adoring grandchildren, Kevin Hurlburt, Kelly (Matthew) Demitro, Jane Ferris and Carson (Nicholas) Zeolla; adoring great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jakob and Jaysa Demitro, James, Cade and Aiden Zeolla; she is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Stella was predeceased by her son James J. Ferris; husbands, James F. Ferris, Stuart Colvin and William C. Lyman; and was also predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc.16650 State Route 31, Holley, Sunday January 29th, from 1:00-3:00. Stella’s Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home on Sunday. Interment will be in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
