Stephen Lacki, age 91, died March 8, 2024 in Elderwood at Bassett Park. He was born February 5, 1933 in Buffalo to Thomas and Mary (Bulanda) Lacki and was a life-long resident of this area.
Stephen was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War as well as the National Guard and had received many medals and trophies for being a Sharp-shooter in Military Competitions. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, the VFW, and had written many articles for various Military Magazines. Stephen spoke 5 languages and after the war, he became active in the Big Brother program with Gary. Mr. Lacki was predeceased by his wife Floy, daughters: Gail Lacki, Patricia Hamilton and a son: Johnny Lacki.
He is survived by his special friend: Victoria McKay, his son: Thomas (Joycette) Lacki, his daughter Kathleen Lacki as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St.-Gasport, TUESDAY 3/12/24 from 6-8 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend Stephen’s Funeral Service WEDNESDAY 3/13/24 in the Alden Community Church, 1400 Sullivan Rd, Alden, NY, 14004 beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery with Military Honors.
