Obituary of Susan K. Bennett (Barre) Susan K. Bennett age 67, went to be with her Lord January 11, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born July 11, 1946 in Albion, a daughter of the late Everett and Frieda (Hollenbeck) Hobbs and had lived in this area all of her life. Sue was a member of the Barre Center Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon and was also a member of the True Blue Mission Guild. She worked on Bennett's Farms and also was a bookkeeper at the family Store. Sue enjoyed her Tuesday mornings bowling with her friends. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Hobbs. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Richard; her daughter Amy (James) Neal of Albion; her son Scott (Jennie) Bennett of Barre; her grandchildren Brian and Jacob Neal, Kaitlin and Kyler Bennett; her brother Roger (Jean) Hobbs; special sister-in-law Linda (Rick) Hobbs; beloved nieces Pamela, Sherry and Lori; brother-in-law William (Peggy) Bennett; as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Monday Jan. 13th 6-8 and Tuesday Jan. 14th 2-4 & 7-9 where her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Barre Center Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Orleans or to 4H Fair, 12690 Rte. 31, Albion NY 14411. Visitation
