Obituary of Theodore W. Schleef Theodore W. Schleef formerly of Wolcottsville passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014. Mr. Schleef was born in Alberta, Canada on August 2, 1911 son of the late Frederick and Emma (Gehrke) Schleef and he lived most of his life in Wolcottsville. Mr. Schleef served in the US Army during World War II. He and his wife Dorothy Schleef were married January 25, 1941. He owned Schleef's Grocery in Wolcottsville for 25 years retiring in l990. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and had been a member of the Wolcottsville Fire Company. Mr. Schleef enjoyed his family, bowling, playing bingo, going out for Friday fish fries and he enjoyed his coffee. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Schleef in August of 2006, a son Thomas Schleef and by his siblings Fred Schleef, Norman Schleef, Nora Kelly and Gerhart Schleef. He is survived by two daughters and one son, Kathleen (Gerald) Walck of Sanborn, Janet (Arnold) Stahl and Michael (Kathie) Schleef all of Wolcottsville. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild , a daughter-in-law Barbara Schleef and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:00AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville where funeral services will follow at 11:00AM with the Rev. Bruce Donley officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Michael's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the Schleef family.
