Wolcottsville: Thomas H. “Tom” Baehr, age 72, passed away peacefully at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. He was born December 31, 1949 in Medina, NY to the late Wilfred and Margaret (Ireland) Baehr.
Tom retired after 30 years of working for the City of Lockport Fire Dept. He was an avid golfer, deer hunter and outdoorsman.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Karen Cummings, predeceased him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary (Murphy), his children; Matthew (Jen) Baehr, Melissa Baehr, Audra (late Vernon) Jett, Rob (Danielle) Chase, Thomas Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, grandchildren; Mikhayla Jett, Maggie Jett, Gage Dietrle, Landin Dietrle, Mackenzie Dietrle, Braydon Baehr, Melynda Baehr, Emmie Chase, siblings; Ron (Cathy) Baehr, Kathy (Jack) Bower, Dean (Phyllis) Baehr, Jean Faskel, Terry Murphy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St. Middleport, NY 14105 on Monday, June 27th from 4:00-6:00. Interment will be held privately in Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu.
