Of Middleport passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Mr. DiNardo was born in Middleport on May 10, 1926, son of Joseph and Christina (DiCarlo) DiNardo. He was the husband of the late Jeanne (Ruppel) DiNardo. Mr. and Mrs. DiNardo were married on July 17, 1948 at St. Stephen's Church in Middleport and they resided all their life in Middleport. He was a member of St. Stephen's church (Holy Trinity Parish), retirees Bowling Association, the Pressman's Union. He was a 4th degree of the knights of Columbus, and a long time member of Niagara-Orleans retirees golf association. He never missed a NY Yankess game or any Notre Dame sporting events. Fishing, traveling, golfing, great food, all of his family and many, many friends, were his favorite things. Thomas held the record at Royalton-Hartland Central High school for the most strike-outs in one game. He had an opportunity to try out for the NY Yankees farm team. He had also been bowling for 56 years straight each week, and had a score of 800 a few years back. He and his wife played cards every two weeks for over 46 years with three other couples. He loved people and the area. He was predeceased by his son Michael DiNardo, six brothers: Joseph, Nicholas, Daniel, Anthony, Peter, and Angelo, and several brother and sister-in-laws. He is survived by his children Kathleen (Michael) Switalski of Lockport, Debi Watts (Mark Beckstein), James R. (Kathy) DiNardo all of Middleport, daughter-in-law Wendy DiNardo and six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother and sister-in-laws James (Betty) Ruppel of Lockport, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friend may call on Monday November 28 at the Bates Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Fawls on Tuesday from St. Stephen's Church (Holy Trinity Parish) at 11:00 AM, please assemble at church. Burial will be held in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
