Thomas A. "Tom" Haynes

Thomas A. Haynes, age 68, died April 18, 2022 at his home.

He was born July 4, 1953 in Wellsboro, PA and had lived in this area since 1982.  Tom was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Albion Sportsman Club, and was a Master Gardener.  He enjoyed gardening, canning and had a special affinity for pigs.  Mr. Haynes was predeceased by his wife Patricia, his father: Arthur Burr Haynes, a brother: Joseph Haynes and a sister: Charlotte Hermey.  He is survived by his stepson: R. James Flechsenhaar III of Albion, his mother: Mary Donna Sanderson of Eagle Harbor, his brother: Michael Haynes of PA, his sister: Christine Sanderson of Lyndonville as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours and a private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 12690 Rt. 31, Albion, NY, 14411.

Tom’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.
