Thomas J. McCabe

Albion: Thomas J. McCabe 81 of Albion, passed away August 8, 2023 with his loving family at his side. He was born on April 21, 1942 in Albion N.Y. He was the son of the late Frances and Mary (Vagg) McCabe.

Tom was a 1960 graduate of Albion Central School and SUNY Morrisville class of 1963. Tom retired from the city of Rochester police department after 32 years. He was a member of the Appaloosa Horse club of Western New York. Tom and his son Marc raised Appaloosa Horses and showed them.

A member of the Barre Town Board, Board member of Orleans County cooperative extension and involved with the horse program. His enjoyment was being with family, friends and working his on farm.

Tom is survived by his wife Barbara, of 61 years, two children Michael (Luis) Rosario McCabe, of Churchville, New York, Marc McCabe of Albion, and grandson Spencer Rosario McCabe of Churchville, New York. brother-in-law, Lynn (Polly) Hill, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Friday, August 11th from 4:00-6:00 followed by his memorial service at 6:00pm.
