Obituary of Thomas Smith (ALBION)
Thomas C. Smith, age 68, formerly of Oak Orchard Road, died 8/31/2014 in Orchard Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born 5/24/1946 in Medina to Elmo and Marjorie (Darker) Smith and was a life-long resident of this area. Mr. Smith was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Holy Family Parish, the Sheret Post American Legion and the Albion Sportsmen's Club. Tom enjoyed fishing and being a family man. His major hobby was raising his 4 boys. Mr. Smith was predeceased by his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Christine, his 4 sons: Brian(Danielle)Smith of Medina, Marc(Ruth)Smith of Bloomfield, Matt(Christine Hermann)Smith of Medina, David Smith of Corning, his sister: Betty(Richard)Drilling of OR, a sister-in-law: Christine(late Robert)Smith of Medina, 16 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY from 4-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend Tom's Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, SATURDAY at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery with Military Honors.
