Obituary of Tommy Joe Walker Tommy Joe Walker, 84, of Medina, NY, entered
into rest on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Strong
Memorial Hospital. Born on December 25, 1928 in
Mobile, AL, he was the son of the late Willie Mae and Buddy Walker Sr. Tommy Joe moved to the Rochester area around
1957, working various jobs, including construction
and with Kodak. He was a member of St. Paul's
Missionary Church, where he sang in the choir. He
enjoyed gardening, playing his guitar and fishing.
He is survived by four children, Adolphus
Walker, Tommy Walker, Jerome Walker; Kathia
(Michael) Paulson, all of Rochester; five
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a loving
companion, Queen Stephens of Medina; six loving
step-children; and a host of nieces, nephews and
friends.
Relatives and friends may attend a funeral
service at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 17, 2013, at
St. Paul's Missionary Church, 139 Ingersoll St.,
Albion, NY 14411, with the Pastor, Rev. Phillip
Reynolds officiating and burial will be in Mount
Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made in Tommy's name to St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church.
