Obituary of Veronica Jane Kylor Veronica Jane Kylor, 89, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at The Landing in Brockport. Jane was born March 1, 1928 in Ithaca NY a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Brooks) Knight. Jane was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott NY, the Endwell Garden Club and the Lyndale Women. Jane loved working with and helping people. Thus it was very fitting for her to find enjoyment and satisfaction working in food service. In 1968, she began working part time for the M-E School District in the Homer Brink Cafeteria. In 1978, she was offered a position with IBM working at the IBM Country Club in the Snack Shop and Watson Homestead. She finished her career with IBMas an administrative assistant at IBM Glendale. After retiring in 1988, Jane began volunteering at the Discovery Center in Binghamton and for Meals on Wheels of Western Broome. Jane and her husband Martin delivered meals most every Thursday for nearly 20 years. Jane was an excellent seamstress, loved gardening, knitting, making ceramics, painting and crafting of most any kind. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Martin, on December 25, 2011, and her dear brother-in-law, Frank Gamber. Jane is survived by her children, Sue “Cubbie” (Greg) Rustay of Albion NY, James (Lori) Kylor of Endwell; grandchildren, Jimmy, Christopher, Jennifer, Garrett, Erica, Kristin; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Frankie, Aden, Maura, Kaleb; dear sister-in-law, Gerry Gamber of Mechanicsburg, PA; two special nephews, David Gamber and Ralph Dice and a very special niece Roberta Dice, There are no prior calling hours. Jane’s Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 53 McKinley Avenue Endicott, NY 13760 on Saturday September 30th at 11am with guest Pastor Susan M. Boring officiation. Interment will be held in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jane’s memory to Meals on Wheels of Western Broome, 705 West Main Street, Endicott NY 13760 or the First United Methodist Church of Endicott.
