Vivian J. Sanders Hanel

Obituary of Vivian J. Sanders Hanel Vivian was a 1940 graduate of Lockport High School. She continued her education at Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. After graduation, Vivian had worked at a Harrison Radiator in Lockport then she worked at Niagara County Veteran’s Service Agency in Lockport for 30 years. Vivian married Anthony J. Hanel in June of 1948. They had been married for 48 years. Tony Hanel died December 25, 1996. Vivian and Tony owned and operated Highland Flower Farm on Mountain Road in Gasport for many years. Vivian was a member of Myrtle Rebekah Lodge #84 for 68 years. She was a past Assembly Marshal on the Rebekah New York Assembly Staff. Vivian enjoyed the beauty of nature and always found the good in everyone she met. Vivian is survived by her daughter: Margaret C. Bourne of Gasport and her dear friend, Dolores M. Silsby of Fort Pierce, FL. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, NY on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10 until 11 am. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am with the Reverend Ron Houseman officiating. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery, Lockport, NY.
