Obituary of Wanda L. Gould Wanda L. Gould of Lyndonville formerly of Middleport passed away Monday June 3, 2013 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport Site. Mrs. Gould was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 17, 1931 daughter of the late Robert and Mabel (Stone) Gibbons. Mrs. Gould has lived in the Middleport area all of her life, was employed at United Church Colony Home, was a member of the Gasport Eastern Star, the Middleport United Methodist Church and she enjoyed her family, knitting, sewing, gardening and baking. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Gould December 27, 2000, a son Louis Szmak and by three brothers Robert Gibbons, Carl Gibbons, Paul Gibbons and a grandson Shawn Szmak. Loving Mother of Douglas (Colleen) Szmak of Buffalo, Susan (Thomas) Weber of Lyndonville, Arthur Szmak of North Tonawanda, E. Mark Szmak of Iowa and Barbara (Doulgas) Wehrmeyer of Lockport. Also surviving are nine grandchildren Douglas Szmak of Buffalo, Thomas Weber of California, Stephanie Weber of New Jersey, James Szmak, Lauren Szmak, Matthew Szmak, Michael Szmak all of N. Tonawanda, Matthew Wehrmeyer and Branden Wehrmeyer both of Lockport, three great grandchildren, sister of Alice Brasky of Batavia, Lois Amey of Darien, NY., Harold Gibbons of Arizona and John (Debra) Gibbons of Gasport. Also surviving are her step children David (Kathryn) Gould and Donald Gould and her step grandchildren Jeremy Gould and Kristie Gould and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Middleport United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Knapp officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Mt. Ridge Cemetery.
