Warren D. Maynard Jr.

April 7, 1955 — February 10, 2022

Warren D. Maynard Jr. of Kendall passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Warren is survived by his only son Michael (Tammy) Maynard, brother Mark (Dona) Maynard, sister Aletamarie (Wayne) Martin, nephew Jared (Megan) Maynard, niece Dr. Sheena Maynard and his girlfriend Peggy Coonrod. He was born on April 7th, 1955 to the late Warren and Beverly Maynard. He graduated from Kendall Jr/Sr High, class of 1974. Warren was very active in the community as the Kendall Recreation Director. He coached many teams over the years including the little league team, the cubs, as well as the Kendall Babe Ruth team. He worked at Delco Products/Valeo where he formed many close friends. In more recent years he was an important part of the Circle R food truck where you could usually find him cooking. Warren took great pride in his standard bred horses earning him many championships over the years, both solo and with his father or other partners. Warren loved story-telling, whether it was about great times with friends, his horses or cherished family memories. He would have you in stitches in a matter of minutes. Nothing brought him more joy than to provide his friends and family with fresh eggs from his “girls” (chickens) or anything else he grew and harvested. When Warren wasn’t working or tending his horses you could find him enjoying the slots at Batavia Downs, or playing golf in tournaments with his best buddies. Warren was well known for his compassion for others, witty sense of humor, and for his “deadeye” when putting in golf. He loved sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was an extremely supportive and loving father, brother and friend. His laughter and smile will be sorely missed by all. The shock of his passing hit the family and his many friends very hard. He will be forever in our hearts. The outpour of condolences and love from everyone warren knew has been overwhelming, and it is comforting to know he touched so many lives. A celebration of life memorial service is being planned for June 18th 2022.

Warren’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, Holley, NY.
