Obituary of Warren F. Snyder (ALBION)
Warren F. Snyder, age 81, died 12/11/2017 in Unity Hospital following a brief illness. He was born 10/12/1936 in Barre to Frank and Ruth (Batchellor) Snyder and had lived in this area all of his life. Warren served in the United States National Guard and was one of the founding members of the Barre Fire Department. For years he worked for several area construction companies including Keeler Construction until opening up his own business-Snyder’s Backhoe and Dump Truck Service. When he wasn’t acquiring or working on old tractors, Warren loved going to auctions, playing cards and caring for animals…especially German Shepherds. He is survived by his significant other of 30 years Diana Pinson, his sons: Michael (Gloria) Snyder of Medina, Steven (Janice Hyde) Snyder of Hamlin, Thomas Snyder of Medina, Frank Snyder of AZ, Danny Snyder of AZ, his brother: Robert(Norma) Snyder of Rochester,6 grandchildren and 2 nieces. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, SATURDAY 2-5 p.m. followed immediately thereafter by Warren’s Celebration of Life at 5 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Barre Fire Department, 4709 Oak Orchard Road, Albion, NY, 14411.
