Wayne C. Porter

Obituary of Wayne C. Porter (Hamlin) Wayne C. Porter age 75 died August 15, 2020 at Monroe Community Hospital. He was born June 13, 1945 in Albion, the son of the late Ellsworth and Eleanor (VanOrden) Porter and had lived in the area all of his life. Wayne served in the US Army from 1966-1968. He was a member and past Commissioner of the Morton Fire Company, he worked as an Electrician for General Electric, Black and Decker and Allied in Brockport; retiring after working for many years. Wayne enjoyed doing word searches, hunting, painting old cars and Cruise Ins, especially in Olcott. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; his son Shane Porter and his dogs Peanut and Buttercup. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31 Holley on Friday August 21st 5-7pm where his Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7pm followed by Military Honors.
