Obituary of Wilfred R. Lienhart (Albion/Leesburg FL) Wilfred R. Lienhart age 88 of Leesburg FL, died following a short illness on May 22, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 6, 1925 in the Town of Gaines, a son of the late William and Belva (Barnard) Lienhart. Wilfred had served in the Twin Dolphins-Silent Service from 1943-1946. He was a member of the American Legion in Fruitland Park FL and was also a member and served with the honor guard for VFW in FL. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Waterport, Spencerport and Albion Fire Departments and served as past president for the Spencerport Fire Department. Wilfred had worked for 30 years at General Motors in Rochester, retiring from there as a heavy construction supervisor. He was involved in clowning and magic and had volunteered for many organizations. He was predeceased by his great-granddaughter Anna Elizabeth McKinney; his sisters Margaret Whipple, Helen Lienhart, Rose Kirchner. He is survived by his wife Shirley of 67 years; 2 daughters Sandra (Leslie Owen) Kagey, Christy (James E.) McKinney; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His Memorial Service will be Sunday June 9th at 2:00pm at Spencerport United Methodist Church, 30 Amity St., Spencerport NY 14559. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Monday June 10th 1-2:30pm followed by his burial with full Military Honors in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
