Obituary of William Vrooman Bowles (Albion) William V. Bowles age 78 died December 4, 2020 at Elderwood at Amherst due to complications of agent orange exposure during his time in the Army. He was born March 8, 1942 in Bath NY, a son of the late Lyman and Evelyn (Finger-Stone) Bowles and had lived in this area most of his life. Bill served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member and past Commander of the Albion VFW. He was a member of the Albion Fire Department, the Albion Renovation Lodge #97 F. & A. M. and the Albion Sportsman Club. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and obtained his Master Captain License. He retired from Eastman Kodak after working 27 years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Leona and Charlie Chick; sister Nancy Gerwitz; brother-in-law Joseph Gradischer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marcia; his daughter Kristine (Allan) Junot; grandchildren Travis Robson, KyLee (Austin Genno) Robson, Jordynn Junot, Allysa Junot; sisters Mary Helen Conley, Jeanne Gradischer; brother-in-law Chuck (Kathy) Chick as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Wednesday December 9th from 4:00pm-5:00pm where his Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00pm.
