Dusett Devoted Husband and Father,Christian,Lifelong Businessman William Lewis Dusett,81, ofAppleton, NY, passed awaypeacefullyat homesurrounded by familyonApril 18, 2021after abravebattle withParkinson’s Disease. Bill was born on July 10, 1939 to Williamand ElsieDusettin Rochester, NY.He fell in love with the wateras a young boy on fishing trips with his father andlearned his love for the kitchen from his mother who worked as a cook. After graduating from Fairport High School in 1957, he went on to graduate from Alfred University in 1962 with a degree in Business. Bill had an unstoppable work ethic, workingatrestaurants,car dealerships and bowling alleysthrough high school and college before starting hisfirst business in 1968; a boat dealership.A lifelong entrepreneur,Bill managed or owned restaurants, delis, boat dealerships,marinasand a business consultancy during his 50+ years in business. In 2020,Bill and Patricia (Hollis) Dusettcelebrated 58 years of marriageandadventureswiththeirfive children. They createdforever memorieslivinginPultneyville, NYfor 27 yearand 23 years inSt. Petersburg, FL before moving to Appleton, NY.Bill wasfamous among family and friends forneighborhood picnics andSunday morning homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. To Bill’s own ear, he had perfect pitch and a melodic whistle that he enjoyed to his final days in family singalongs. While living in St. Petersburg, Bill served as deacon and treasurerofhis beloved Island Chapelchurchcommunity. Bill is survived by hislovingwife, Patricia (Hollis) Dusettandhis sister, Connie (Dusett) Liberto. He isalsosurvived by 5 children and many grandchildrenthat were his pride and joy; William Jr. and Leah (Hrozenchik)DusettandgrandchildrenJulian and Miles; Paul Dusett; John and Patricia (Paparella) Dusett andgrandchildrenKatlyn (Gregg[and fiancéIricBressler]) and Caroline; Daniel and Theresa Dusettandgrandchildren Grace (Hunt[and husband Ethan]), Mary and Jonathan; Rocco and Danielle (Dusett)SpagnoloandgrandchildrenRocco and Luca. A Celebration of Life service will be held atRidgewood Bible Church in Lockport, NY onApril 27 at 1:00.There will be a private family burial service at LakeviewCemetery inPultneyville, NY.
