Obituary of William R. Harrison Waterport - William Ralph Harrison, 82, died Sunday, October 22, 2017.Born and raised in Waterport NY, the son of Burton and Bernine Harrison, he was a lifelong resident of Waterport NY. He graduated from Albion High School in 1953.He then joined the Army and served in Germany where he was a tank mechanic. After the army he went to work as an automobile mechanic at Engle Harrison.He then worked at General Electric in Brockport NY in the maintenance department. Williamthen opened a lawn and garden business (Waterport Lawn and Garden) in Waterport NY which he and his wife Shirley ran for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Harrison. He leaves his sons, Steven (Kathy) Harrison;Mike (Sharon) Harrison; his daughters, Lorna (Spike) Flemming; his daughter Jackie (Rick) Haley; eight grand children; eight great-grand children and many close friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion,on Thursday, October 26thfrom1:00-3:00with a Celebration of hisLife held at 3:00pm. Burial will be held in Waterport cemetery.
