Obituary of William C. Lasal . William C. Lasal of Medina passed away Monday evening, June 2, 2014 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare System. Mr. Lasal was born in the Town of Hartland on April 11, 1916 son of the late Charles and Emma (Haner) Lasal and he has lived in the area all of his life. He and his wife Ruth J. Lasal were married June 29, 1940 and she predeceased him in 2003. He was employed at Harrison Radiator Div., GMC retiring in l980, was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and a former member of the Shelby Fire Company. Mr. Lasal enjoyed his family, carpentry - he built three houses and he also enjoyed his dog Cindy and playing the drums. He was predeceased by a brother Arthur Lasal and a sister Irene Laatsch. He is survivied by two sons and one daughter Norman C. (Carolyn) Lasal of Gasport, Ronald (JoAnne) Lasal of Kendall and Judith Ann (David) Underhill of Batavia, 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, a dear friend Millie Knights of Medina and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 state St., Middleport. and Friday from 10AM to 11AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville where funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Royalton Mt. Ridge Cemetery. Memorials to St. Michaels' Lutheran Church or the Shelby Fire Company would be appreciated by the Lasal family.
