Obituary of William Lyman Albion New York:
William Chester Lyman, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2014. He was born in Albion New York, on August 28th, 1921. The eldest son of William Chester Lyman and Laura Lee Lyman.
A lifelong resident of Albion, he worked for Eastman Kodak for a majority of his career, at Eastman Organic Chemicals. He was most proud of his work on a blood analyzer which he helped get developed for Kodak, which helped save countless lives.
Bill had a great sense of humor, and was an avid golfer and skier in his earlier days.
He was a US Army veteran during WWII, and throughout his life, was on numerous economic development committees to create new business in the Orleans County area.
Bill will be missed by his family and friends alike.
"Bill" Lyman was predeceased by his 1st wife, Jean Weilhamer Lyman. Bill is survived by his wife Stella Ferris Lyman, his children, Christie , William III, Nicholas (Peggy), and David (Joanne), (children of William and Jean Weilhamer Lyman), his granddaughter, Danielle, step-children, Shirley and Ralph Reed, and Jimmy Ferris (Deceased).
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Wednesday from 2:00-4:00, where his Funeral Service will follow calling hours at 4:00pm Visitation
