William James McCarthy

Obituary of William James McCarthy Entered into rest on October 18, 2017. Son of the late James and Genevieve McCarthy. Loving husband of the late Ruth McCarthy; father of Patricia (the late Rodgers) Jacoby, Gary (April) McCarthy, Donna (Joseph Giusiana) Doran, and Thomas J. McCarthy; grandfather of 7; great-grandfather of 4; brother of Mildred Kishbaugh, Luella Kelly, and the late Ruth Bracci. William served our country in the Army from 1945-1946. He is a graduate of Lackawanna high school and also earned an associate's degree. He started working at Niagara Mohawk in 1950 and retired from the company in 1988 as the Ontario District Manager. William was an active member of St. Stephen's church where he served as a Eucharistic minister and financial advisor. He also was a member of the Lions Club and past president of the Medina Rotary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stephen Church (Holy Trinity Parish) on Saturday October 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM, inurnment will take place following at Mt.
